This will be a positively challenging HR role where you will be getting your teeth stuck into all aspects of HR related duties, for a business that are world leaders in their sector and a leading employer in North Yorkshire. You will be given responsibility for supporting a HR Business Partner in their daily duties across two manufacturing sites with circa 300 employees. This is a new role where you will be given the autonomy to really make the role your own and shape your own future in the business. Ideally you will be CIPD Level 3 qualified, and either be working towards or have aspirations to study CIPD Level 5. Study support is also something our client can provide if required. Our client is looking for someone who has 1+ years’ experience of working in a HR Assistant/Administrator/Advisor position. This role will be primarily based from their Thirsk offices, however ad-hoc travel to another site in East Yorkshire will be required from time to time.

 

As HR Advisor you will be responsible for:

  • Support HR Business Partner in providing quality HR services and advice across the division.
  • Work across the full employee life cycle, dealing with all related HR responsibilities.
  • Supporting the resolution of employee relations cases.
  • Take ownership of grievance and disciplinary proceedings.
  • Support HR Business Partner in the resolution of employee relations cases at all levels.
  • Onboard new starters within the business, conducting relevant checks/procedures.
  • Oversee the leaver process for employees exiting the business.
  • Conducting performance and occupational health reviews.
  • Assist in the management of sickness/absence monitoring/reporting.
  • Processing internal employee business transfers, promotions and amending contracts.
  • Provide advisory services to line managers and hiring managers.
  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed by business departments.

 

 

Skills required:

  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualified or working towards the latter.
  • Experience of working in a HR function.
  • Manufacturing experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Work successfully from your own initiative to achieve goals.
  • Competent with IT and HR systems.
