EXCELLENT new role as Marketing Assistant for well established and successful Harrogate company. Reporting into the Marketing Executive, this is a varied and challenging role working as a key member of the Marketing team.

• Development of marketing and communications plans to support company strategic objectives
• Produce internal and external communications, such as e-bulletins
• Liaise with PR Consultant to initiate pro-active PR, supporting initiatives and increasing market profile and visibility
• Develop effective campaigns and materials to increase growth and retention; targeting key sectors, using cost-effective joined-up channels, especially digital, continually improving content and appearance of both electronic and print communications to ensure maximum effectiveness
• Posting listings, events, publications, news items, videos, creating banners etc., ensuring content is relevant and up to date
• Develop, update and integrate use of Social Media – Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, Flickr, YouTube etc
• Develop and maintain an Blog linked to the website and other social media channels
• Manage and update Google Adwords and review Google Analytics/Maintain, interrogate and develop the CRM system in respect of relevant marketing, sales and event information
• Liaising with internal and external departments and agencies to produce marketing materials and manage marketing of key messages and activities
• Coordination of marketing, advertising and communications e-mail queues
• Maintaining accurate and up to date records, including website and CRM system
• Design, management and reporting on campaigns – online and offline

• An understanding of marketing communication channels and techniques, including media, social media, direct mail, web and digital
• An understanding of marketing production techniques, including working within an agency/client relationship, design and copy process and print buying
• Understanding of Word/Excel/Outlook etc.
• Experience of desktop publishing (Photoshop, Indesign and Publisher) and CRM
• Experience of effective time and task management and prioritising busy workloads
• A detailed understanding of administrative support and event organisation
• Awareness of effective communication methods and negotiating techniques
• Clear, concise and positive communication skills (written and verbal) requiring an effective, helpful communicator, with an open, engaging and winning style that generates trust and credibility amongst internal and external stakeholders
• Working to meet clear marketing, event and sales targets, objectives and standards
• Ability to perform hospitality tasks effectively and to strict standards and deadlines
• Ability to manage customer and supplier relationships effectively on an ongoing basis
• Ability to use own initiative, create and develop new ideas; working both autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong and practical administrative skills with a sound track record and recent experience of a lead marketing role especially using websites, social media and online marketing
