IMPRESSION RECRUITMENT HAVE NOW SUCCESSFULLY FILLED THIS VACANCY

We are now looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join a small but expanding business in Knaresborough. Within the role you will support their Financial Controller and will ensure the smooth running of their finance function, primarily maintaining the Sage 200 accounting system in a fast moving environment to include Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, general banking, month end reports etc.

Duties to involve:

  • Dealing with Purchase and Sales Ledger
  • Posting banking transactions
  • Ensure all sales receipts and purchase payments are allocated correctly
  • Dealing with GBP, USD and Euro bank accounts
  • Prepare bi-weekly pay runs
  • Prepare reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts including fixed assets, prepayments and accruals
  • Run key reports in Sage
  • Supporting preparation of the management reports
  • Assist in preparing weekly clash flow reports
  • Attend monthly meetings

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Ideally AAT Level 4 or Qualified by Experience
  • Previous experience with Sage 50 or 200 – desirable
  • Strong Excel skills, able to use formulas, VLOOKUP, PIVOT etc
  • Competent IT skills
  • Focussed on detail

 

This position offers the opportunity to work with a small but friendly team and will also offer the ability to develop and challenge yourself daily. In return you will be rewarded with a salary between £23,000 – £25,000 per annum.
