An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to work for a leading Harrogate based organisation with an innovative product and a very bright future ahead. You will work alongside the company’s Directors who will educate you in all aspects of the company’s sales process, therefore full training and support is on offer which will enable you to flourish quickly.

 

Responsibilities of the successful Business Development Manager will be:

  • Developing new business relationships
  • Conducting new business presentations
  • Maintaining and developing existing customer relationships to ensure orders/contracts are renewed
  • Facilitating and participating in business negotiations
  • Liaising with all appropriate contacts both internally and externally
  • Working closely with the account management team to support renewals where required
  • Working to achieve both individual and team targets
  • Updating and maintaining the internal system in line with the sales process
  • Producing monthly forecast reports and statistics where applicable
  • Producing proposals and presentations for customers and prospects
  • Negotiate the terms of contracts and agreements
  • Gather market and customer information and provide feedback to internal team
  • Producing quotes for customers
  • Maintaining a detailed record of all quotes, orders and invoices
  • Monitoring Costs where applicable

 

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Good phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • BDM experience in a healthcare setting (essential)
  • Proven pedigree selling into Private and Public sectors (essential)
  • An ambitious attitude to succeed and achieve career progression
  • A competitive nature will set you apart
  • Proven ability to manage contract negotiations and relationships

 

The successful Business Development Manager will be rewarded with a competitive salary between £40,000 – £45,000 plus a generous commission scheme. The working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm. There will also be an opportunity for international and national travel a few times per year!
