Our client who are a leading business in their field, are now seeking an Estimator due to continued growth within the company. The role will be based in Middlesbrough and will involve ensuring accurate estimation of the full installation process and services. This is an exciting prospect to help develop the department further and help to train other members of staff. This role would therefore suit a strong communicator with strong multitasking skills.
Duties as a successful Estimator:
- Being responsible for the estimating process on all supplies and services
- Dealing with pricing, tenders and suppliers
- Producing quotes and identifying costs for materials and labour
- Updating systems and handling relevant documentation
- Dealing with budgets and specifications
- Using various software and updating pricing
- Preparing relevant reports and meeting requirements
- Liaising with internal and external parties
- Building relationships and providing advice
- Recording enquiries and growing company revenue
- Handling enquiries and being involved in relevant meetings
Skills:
- Experience in an Estimator position or covering similar duties
- Must have experience with LGSF or Hot Roll.
- Experience purchasing construction materials
- Be able to work as part of a team and on your own
- Be able to prioritise tasks in an efficient manner
- Strong communication and customer service skills on all levels
In order to be successful as an Estimator you will be a numerically focussed individual with keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise workload. In return you will receive a salary between £30k-£40k, working Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5pm, with a 4:30pm finish on a Friday.
