NEW role for Management Accountant in the finance department of this prestigious and growing company.  The purpose of the role is to ensure that the management accounts are produced in a timely manner ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data.

Reporting into the Finance Director.

Main Duties
1 Ensure that the Accounts Assistant provides accurate and timely data.
2 Provide holiday cover for the Accounts Assistant
3 Post purchase invoices ensuring that stock is accounted for correctly and invoices matched to GRN’s
4 Prepare and submit the VAT returns.
5 Ensure that the monthly accounts packs are completed accurately and on time.
6 Weekly KPI’s
7 Assist with the development of the accounting software
8 Complete the payroll for the monthly paid staff including the calculation of commission for the sales staff and overtime for production staff.
9 Produce weekly payment run for sign off from the FD
10 Manage both the sales ledger and purchase ledger
11 Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet
12 Complete the Audit file and liaise with the company auditors


Skills and Qualifications

You will ideally be a part qualified accountant with experience of working in a similar role.

Previous supervisory experience is desirable.

You must be able to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Navision is desirable but not essential, however, you must be able to prove a track record of using windows based accounting package.

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to work well within a team or on your own initiative.
