Impression Recruitment are delighted to be assisting our client based in a remote location in Knaresborough who are looking for a positive and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join their professional but friendly team, where staff are encouraged to flourish in what they do. Within the role you will be offering administrative support to the expanding Purchasing and Supply Chain team whilst also collaborating with the operational teams to ensure that all departments have the critical information required to run smoothly. You will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational and planning skills and you’ll also be a great communicator who can build and nurture successful business relationships, adding variety to the position with a customer service element.

Your duties as a Purchasing Administrator will be:

  • Raising and sending purchase orders through the stock management system.
  • Managing supply chain for orders, speaking to suppliers and tracking deliveries for sales and supporting to keep customers fully aware of the process.
  • Maintaining and updating the stock management system and liaising with colleagues to find continuous improvement where possible.
  • Liaising with the wider business to ensure all relevant information is shared between departments in a timely manner.
  • Assisting the Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager in managing outstanding purchase orders from suppliers.
  • Supporting the Accounts team in resolving invoice queries, chasing suppliers for credit notes when necessary.
  • Assisting with collating competitor pricing and necessary research.
  • Providing stock reports when required in Managers absence.

 

In order to be successful, you’ll need the following attributes:

  • Strong administrative experience.
  • Brilliant organisational skills and the capability to manage multiple tasks and work to strict deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • A motivated and proactive approach with the ability to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
  • High levels of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

 

In return as a Purchasing Administrator you will be employed on a permanent full-time basis, receiving a salary of £21,000 – £24,000 per annum.
