An exciting opportunity has arisen for our client based in Middlesbrough who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to assist with their continued growth. This is a chance for you to work on an array for various projects and be responsible for forecasting costs and ensuring timeframes and budgets are met. This role would suit a personable individual with excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage budgets, as well as relationships. Both Senior and Junior candidates will be considered.
Duties as a Quantity Surveyor:
- Pricing and forecasting project costs
- Reviewing relevant documentation including tender documents
- Devising reports and providing cash flow forecast updates
- Procuring services and building relationships
- Adjusting project costs in line with development amendments
- Liaising with internal and external parties
- Meeting H&S guidelines
- Ensuring the correct policies and procedures are followed
- Representing the company brand
- Dealing with contracts and reports
Skills:
- Experience within the construction field
- Knowledge of New Engineering Contracts and Joint Contracts Tribunal
- Quantity Surveying experience
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Good Microsoft office skills
- Experience using various software
To be successful as a Quantity Surveyor you will have an excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills and a flexible approach. In return you will receive a salary between £27k – £48k per annum, depending on experience level, plus benefits, with the view to work from the Middlesbrough office.
